The Burns Price Foundation aims to promote good citizenship among young people.
We do this by making grants to 11-18 year-olds to run their own/ group projects in the community.
Therefore, our ‘volunteers’ are those who create projects to whom we can make grants.
We like to support projects that focus on the local environment, peacebuilding, and the wellbeing of others in the community.

We support young people to take action in their community through financially supporting their projects, enabling them to change lives across the UK.
For example, we have funded; beach cleans, care bags for the homeless, healthy eating programs and nature camps for BAME youth.
The grants are from £50 to a maximum of £5,000. However, our team loves to see young people who show other fundraising efforts too. All projects require an adult supervisor; this is to make sure the young person has support along their volunteering journey.

One of our beneficiaries reported back to us after completing their project: “Many thanks from a sixteen-year-old who was blessed with an opportunity!”
One of our trustees, Heidi, who was the first young person to receive a grant in 2015, said: “Often young people have a passion for volunteering and amazing ideas for community projects, but lack the funds. Our organization aims to eliminate the financial barrier, allowing young people to make change and build community.”
If you have an idea for a project to improve your community, apply for a grant with us so we can support you with your volunteer journey.
