Changemakers Day

The opening day of Volunteer Expo is dedicated to young people, and giving them a platform to engage in volunteering and explore the causes they care about. Although much of the day is focussed on Key Stage 3 and 4 students, there is still plenty of content and activities for visitors of all ages.

Steve Brown - Former Team GB Paralympian, youth mentor and broadcaster.

Kids Against Plastic - Charity founded by sisters Amy and Ella Meek to empower young people to protect the environment.

Simeon Moore - Former gang member now tackling the glamorisation of gang culture.

Annual awards recognising young people under the age of 25 who have demonstrated outstanding citizenship in supporting others.

Frank Bruno - Former world champion heavyweight boxer and mental health campaigner.

Brooke Kinsella - An actor of stage and screen, Brooke has been an avid and passionate campaigner against knife-crime after her brother was tragically murdered.

Catherine Johnstone CBE - Chief Executive of Royal Voluntary Service.

Sir Martyn Lewis - Former journalist and newscaster, champion of "Constructive Journalism" to flood the media with good news stories.
