Every day, 600 people are diagnosed with leprosy; a curable but wildly misunderstood disease. Lepra are one of the leading organisations involved in the fight against leprosy.
With a great wealth of responsibility on our shoulders to find, treat and rehabilitate those affected, we thrive because of our volunteers.
Our organisation relies heavily on volunteers to assist at an array of events across the country. One such volunteer, Arjun, an NHS doctor, works alongside our fundraiser in London, to help change the lives of those affected by leprosy.

He says, βI have always had a soft spot for volunteering and giving back to those less fortunate. There are many people across the world who deserve the opportunities that we take for granted. Lepra is a charity that values the lives of people in less fortunate situations and this attracted me to volunteering for Lepra.β

Nobody should suffer with a disease that has been curable for at least 20 years. We rely heavily on our volunteers to deliver that message and spread awareness of our work and our mission to beat leprosy.
