Community Heartbeat Trust was one of the very first organisations to start helping communities place defibrillators in the UK, but undertaken with Governance, Sustainability and Resilience at the heart of the project. Since then Community Heartbeat Trust has gone on to deliver many firsts –
- the first to use redundant telephone kiosks for defibrillators;
- the first to have a national Governance system for defibrillators;
- the first to set standards for equipment to be used, and more.

Part of our success is our honesty in helping communities – for example we are not commercially linked to any supplier, and offer an objective advice – but also thanks to the huge range of ‘Heartbeat Hero’s’ we have working with us. You are the real stars!

To date our Heartbeat Heroes, Have…
- Checked and submitted over 100,000 defibrillator site reports
- Deployed over 1500 community defibrillators to 999 incidents
- Offered Post-Trauma Counselling to multiple Heroes involved in rescues
- Helped Community Heartbeat with defibrillator maintenance at over 5500 sites
- Assisted Community Heartbeat to recover 195 deployed defibrillators
A defibrillator is for life, not just for Christmas. Come and joint a great team!
