After close monitoring of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) we have taken the decision to postpone Volunteer Expo, which was scheduled to take place from 1-3 May 2020.
This decision has not been taken lightly, but collective health and safety is our top priority.
The event will now take place from 7th - 9th May 2021.
Getting young people involved in social action projects can leave not only a lasting impact on their lives, but the community as a whole.
Young people have a hunger to do good and make a difference.
That's why Friday 1st May, the opening day of Volunteer Expo will be Changemaker Day, dedicated to young people!
The programme for the day will complement the national curriculum, with speakers and workshops on topics from anti-bullying, to the environment and mental health. This makes Volunteer Expo a perfect day out for schools, colleges and youth groups.
Volunteer Expo will not only show young people how they can get involved in social action with their friends, classmates and families, but also showcase the amazing work young people are already doing.
Our Youth Hub will also incorporate exciting displays and the thrilling national finals for some of Rotary’s Youth Competitions across the weekend. These competitions see thousands of young people take part across the country each year in a range of creative fields, from cookery to photography.
