Getting connected.

 

Volunteer Expo is going virtual for 2021, taking place on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th May 2021.

 

Access to the virtual event platform

If you have already registered, simply head to the event platform at www.volunteerexpo.vfairs.com and press the Login button in the top right corner. Then, enter the email address you registered with. There is no need for a password. That’s it and away you go!

If you haven’t registered, then you will also need to complete the registration form, and then log in using the steps above.

Show opening times

Friday 7th May:  09.30 – 17.00
Saturday 8th May:  09.30 – 17.00

Speaker sessions and workshop sessions begin at 10.00. Please see the Programme for full timings.

 

Accessing speaker sessions and workshops

For speaker sessions head to the Main Stage and for workshops, visit the Workshop Hub. Click the big screens to reveal the day’s agenda. When a session is about to begin a ‘Join’ button will appear.

Workshops will begin playing automatically. Speaker sessions will open in a separate tab where you can join either via Zoom, or direct within your browser.

Please note that speaker sessions do have a maximum capacity, so access is available on a first come first served basis.

 

Technical support

This is available throughout the event to assist with any questions you have. Simply head to the Help Desk within the virtual platform.

If you’re unable to log in, you can contact Technical Support using the email address featured on the homepage, just above the Login button.

Who can attend the event?
Anyone with an interest in volunteering!

How much does it cost to attend the online event?
Absolutely nothing! Like the live event, the Volunteer Expo Online is completely free of charge.

Who will I be able to chat with?
You will be able to engage with other attendees and exhibitors on a 1:1 basis. 

Do I need to download or install any information to be able to attend this event?
No. You don’t need to download or install any software. You need access to the internet and it’s a good idea to ensure you have strong internet connection to enable high quality video streaming. The event is accessible from desktop, mobile and tablet devices.

Is a webcam required?
No. Some attendees who wish to chat with you may require a video chat, but it is not essential to take part in the event.

Will I be able to take away information or brochures from the event?
Yes. Just like any live event, we will have a visitor bag for you. You can add documents from exhibitors to an online ‘swag bag’ in your account and then email them to yourself or share items with colleagues.
